ZaZaZuTV episode 1: Uncovering innovative styles at Pure Magik

We style our friend Catt in store, Pure Magik and speak to store owner, Anthony Gosling about the innovative styles he stocks.

Stay tuned for more ZaZaZuTV episodes where we explore more innovative shops in Sydney.

This dress was made up of laser cut skulls. It was beautifully sculptural and the definition of quirky style.

As well as beautiful clothes, Pure Magik also stock beautiful jewellery and accessories. We loved the wooden brooches.

This top was amazing. It can be worn in countless ways. In about 10 minutes we created about 10-15 different ways it can be worn. Now that is versatility!

Pure Magik can be found at 538 Crown St, Surry Hills and ask for Anthony. His store is a true gem.

ZaZaZu Photo Shoot: The Three

ZaZaZu styled three teenagers, Catt, Hayden and Alex to appear in a photoshoot.

We worked collaboratively with beautician Nicole Tierney and Erica Murray and Ben from Lot-7 studios. What a fun day!

Catt had to practice blowing bubbles the day leading up to the shoot. What a trooper!

Alex has got the model face down packed thanks to all his myspace profile picture practice.

The trio, Alex, Hayden and Catt...what naturally stylish individuals.

Teresa gets ZaZaZu'd

Meet Teresa. Teresa was looking for a dress style that she could wear to her daughter's wedding and some more smart casual looks.

We loved this very retro, feminine top with striped bow. High waisted pencil skirts complimented her hour glass figure.

Teresa discovered wrap dresses that define her waist look amazing on her figure. She loved this dress and started looking at herself differently in this shop.

Yvonne gets ZaZaZu'd

Meet Yvonne. She is a working mum that wanted to update her style with some more smart casual pieces.

Yvonne loved these pants. Worn casually or dressed up with a belt and heels, versatility is the key to buying smart pieces. Yvonne had the youthful outlook to work all these looks in style!

Sandy gets ZaZaZu'd

Meet Sandy. Sandy is a music teacher. Our brief was to take her style one step further. Sandy discovered waist belts and high waisted skirts are her new best friends.

The 1950's style dress suited Sandy, especially since she plays in an old school jazz band. The waist belt accentuates her small waist and the scarf adds a bit of perzazz and interesting texture to an otherwise 'flat' outfit. We loved the sassy black mary jane heels.

Sandy felt like she looked like 'Where's Wally' in this outfit. She wasn't used to wearing stripes. Nikki and I loved this outfit. We felt it was french and very chic without being over the top.

Sandy suits this look to a T. She learnt orange was a colour she could wear and that there's a lot of different looks that you can get out of a dress, when teamed with the right thing. Can you spot Nikki?

You know when you have found the outfit that is 'so you.' Notice how Sandy completely owns this look. She's 'workin' it!'

Mother and daughter, Lynda and Victoria get ZaZaZu'd

Meet Mother Lynda and daughter, Victoria, both seeking to connect with their style personalities.

We thought this coat and brimmed hat made Lynda look like a duchess. Perfect for a sophisticated day out.

Victoria discovered that  that lower necklines and waist belts really suited her figure. She adored this belt and discovered how versatile one accessory can be.

ZaZaZu love rock 'n roll dancing

Fancy being transported by to the 1950's? Every fortnight a live jazz and swing band called the Jive Bombers perform at Ashfield RSL. Nikki and I love to go there to rock 'roll and swing dance with our awesome dance buddies Michael and Adrian. A fun way to spend your Saturday night much?

Stylin a rock star

ZaZaZu style friend and up and coming rock star, Kirk Burgess. The brief was to find him some edgy and smart looks for his video clip promoting his single, 'High'.

We love the skinny tie on men. It just adds a little something.

Finding a good graphic on a T-shirt is like finding a friend. It has to compliment your personality and be with you for the long road. Colour: tick. Graphic: tick.

Kirk loved his new wristband which he calls 'Keith'. (a nod to Keith Urban) Note how the clothes and wrist band maximise rock attitude and enhances cheesy rock poses.

Dress Ups

Sometime's its fun to just play dress ups.
Sure these looks are not everyone's cup of tea, but style really isn't about that is it?
When was the last time you just went into a shop and tried things on just for a giggle?

Cassie get ZaZaZu'd

Cassie is in high school, but 'my doesn't she look like a young lady!'

The 'waist corset' or thick waist belts works wonders for the hour glass figure that really needs definition on her waist. Other 'blockier' shapes like the rectangle and square can also benefit by teaming it with an A line skirt to really give the illusion of a smaller waist.

This look is youthful and 'dressy' without being over the top. It's amazing what a waist belt and a brimmed hat can do to make something that would normally look plain, now look sophisticated.

Imagine if everyone dressed like this everyday. It can be worn in so many occasions-a trip to a cafe, a picnic or even a trip to the races.

An outfit can say so many things about her person, but most importantly this one says 'sophisticated.'

There's something about a leather jacket. (Synthetic leather in this case) that says 'don't mess with me.'

This jacket style is great for the person with the longer torso. Short cropped jackets always give the illusion of longer legs and in this case makes for a very modern look. This look has the 'cool' factor in spades.
